Empire Express

 10th June 2008

In Brief

May has been a fairly quiet month for Empire Enforcement, still lots of activity on the ground and hard work in the background tracing debtors,  The message that we are here and here to stay is finally reaching some local authoritys and some other Bailiff company's.

Replacement Recovery Truck arrives

Empire's replacement recovery truck has finally arrived and was put to work within hours of hitting the office, the truck has a five and a half tonne winch on the rear and has already removed one car with the brakes locked on.  The hope is that debtors will avoid the cost of the tow truck by paying the warrants before the truck is called , however our bailiffs have been told to remove any vehicle any age if the debtor refuses to pay, thus sending a strong signal, that if you can pay but refuse, then you must face the consequences.

Wiltshire Evader caught

A serial evader was caught in Warminster last week, the evader had four parking tickets outstanding, because of the remote location  of where they lived they assumed no one would come looking for them.

Both the offender and her partner were lost for words as Empire Enforcements recovery truck reversed behind their vehicle and the bailiffs threatened to remove the car, the four PCNS were paid within ten minutes, and the debtor agreed it  was a foolish thing to assume she would have got away with it.

Citysync ? who

Empire Enforcement have had the misfortune to try and trade with a company called CITYSYNC, the company provides ANPR camera's.  After meeting their sales reps at Park EX this year, we agreed we would get back with each other with a view to doing some business.

After contacting their sales rep, we were told they do not sell the camera it has to be done through a reseller, who then contacted us, an appointment was made and the sales rep (from nupark) arrived to give us a demonstration of the camera. problem was they did not have a camera, we then asked for a picture, no picture, we then asked for an email of the picture, they sent a drawing through, the situation was close to becoming a comedy sketch and we had to look around to make sure candid camera was not about.

We explained we would not buy a camera system without seeing the camera, we were told that Citysync were the world leaders in manufacture and supply of ANPR camera systems, we asked why they could not show us one they replied we are so large we only deal with big contracts. an agreement was made to demonstrate the camera to us and one would be brought down the following week.

A week passes and we got a phonecall ( again from Nupark) an hour before the demo, "meet us at the pub in Ferndown one of our camera's is on a pole in the car park, and we will show you how it works".

Conclussion:  Citysync are probably the worst company (in our opinion, based on this experience) to do business with,  if anyone would like a drawing of an ANPR camera, dont ask Citysync as the one they provide is only fit for the bin.  As for being the best, well that is certainly open to opinion, just like to say to Petards and to PIPs excellent demonstration on their equipment, far more proffessional, far better equipment, lot easier to do business with.
