Charges
This page is designed to let you know what you will be charged by the Bailiffs at each stage of recovery, this is help you understand how much it will cost and encourage person's in debt / defendants, to contact the Bailiff sooner rather then later so that a person owing the debt can avoid the Bailiffs charges being added.
The longer the debt is left and the more visits the Bailiff (Enforcement officer) makes, the more you will end up paying.
If you are in financial trouble we urge you to contact this office as soon as possible, to help try and resolve the problem,
You must note that we send out three letters prior to the Bailiff (Enforcement Officer) calling, this in effect will have given you six oppertunitie's to pay the debt prior to Bailiff action ( this includes the three letters sent by the issuing authority).
If you fail to contact us prior to the warrant being issued to the Bailiff, or you fail to pay prior to the warrant being issued to the bailiff, then the Enforcement Officer is entitled to ask for payment in full along with his charges.
Please be aware:
The Bailiff will carry with him / her a Warrant issued from a court, that warrant will entitle the Bailiff to seize and remove goods to the value of the debt plus his/her charges and expenses.
it is in your interest to try to resolve the problem as soon as possible to avoid what can become an expensive situation.
